Apple iOS 9.3.1 Released

It’s only been 3 days ago that I spotted the iOS 9.3 bug.  I am glad that Apple has reacted quickly to the bug and released the fix (iOS 9.3.1) today.  The fix has been so far so good for me.

In the past 3 days I was forced to switch my habit from using Safari to Google App for all the web browsing.  I am sure this change will become permanent if Apple had dragged on the issue for a little bit longer.

On the positive side, we, iOS users, should be glad that we are able to install iOS 9.3.1  by a simple click.  If this happens to Android OS, it would be more difficult for their many many different variants of Android OS and partners to release their own fix.

Well done Apple!

iPhone iOS9.3 Bug

The iOS 9.3 bug on my iPhone has been bothering me since today.  My iPhone simply just cannot open search results in Safari and open links in apps such as Mail.  It crashes or hang or just simply does nothing at all.  Apparently, I’m not the only human on earth experience it.  This issue has been widely talked about in the Apple community.

For Apple to stays ahead, Apple needs to work on their software quality assurance as it seems to be going down south.

I hope Apple will release a bug fix soon.  Are you experiencing the same issue?

Batman vs Superman

Please note this post contains SPOILER for Batman vs Superman movie.

Watched the Batman vs Superman movie on the second day of release.  This superhero movie from DC has very different style than Marvel’s superhero movies, and the previous batman / superman franchise.  Sadly, I feel that the difference is on the negative side.  Reasons mainly because:

  • The movie plot could not quite bring out the hatred from Batman and Superman
naturally.  Both superhero were judging each other naively in the first hour or so. With Batman’s usual investigative capability, the plot was poorly planned.
  • Lex has a more comprehensive meta-human intelligence than Batman.  It sounded like Batman is just hiding under his bat cave doing nothing.
  • Lex can manipulate Batman and Superman far too easy.  Is he the only one in the movie got brain?
  • Wonder Woman was outstanding in the movie.  However, there were far too many full head shot, and most importantly with the same facial expression – it was overdone
  • The vision from Batman, possibly from the future Flash, seems disengaged.  The plot was never been picked up later in the film
  • Superman could have saved himself from his suicidal move.  Why not Superman just hand-over the Kryptonite spear to the invincible Wonder Woman?  That makes more sense and we all know Superman will not die in this film because he must have a big role in Justice League.

Having said my views, I did enjoy superhero movies and looking forward to the Justice League movie.
